Mobile Radio Links and Le Mark – Long Term PALs

Mobile Radio Links Ltd. (MRL) has been in the sound and communication business for more than 25 years. MRL rents out radio and surveillance equipment to events across the world and transports these using a fleet of flight cases, accessories boxes and multicarrier cases. Over 15 years ago they selected Le Mark custom branded PAL™ road case labels and have continued to buy them from us ever since.

“The original PAL labels we had manufactured have been to some of the biggest film shoots, concerts, festivals, band tours, commercial filming and major sporting events,” said Brian O’Connor, Logistics Manager, Mobile Radio Links. “We are sending out high-value equipment every day and it’s essential this is accurately labelled, so it reaches the right location at the right time and returns to us.

“Le Mark PAL labels make our equipment easy to spot in a warehouse of other people’s flight cases and are especially useful as part of Health & Safety in the workplace,” Brian said. “The weight warning is very clear for everyone to see. This means that even if a case may not have been very heavy on a previous job, crew members are reminded to check the weight before they pick it up.”

Le Mark PAL labels are fully-customisable and this was a key benefit for MRL.

“We are really pleased with the labels,” Brian said. “We could customise the design in any way we needed, so, alongside our company details, we included a blank area to add relevant client information. It is easy to write the customer name with a black marker, wipe it clean and replace the details for each new hire. The labels also give people direct access to a mobile phone number and our website in case of a problem, or if a passer-by sees it and wants to make enquiries.”

Le Mark PAL labels are renowned for their durability and ultra-tough adhesive. Brian agrees:

“We recently updated all the PAL labels to feature our new email address. Their impressive strength was apparent when we tried to remove the old versions. We needed a chisel!

“They are incredibly adhesive and when packed in TV outside broadcast trucks, film location trucks, lighting trucks and any other method of transport you can think of, they take a serious bashing before they damage, never mind dislodge. They are a hardy product and have seen more parts of the world than I probably will!

“The new labels have been on for a few months now and still look as good today as they did on their first use. Understandably, after so many years of use, the old labels had gotten a bit grubby, so the new labels make us look much more professional. If we hadn’t had to change the design though, I’m sure the originals would still be going strong!”

As for Le Mark, MRL remains as happy with us as they are with the labels:

“After previously buying from Le Mark, there was no second thoughts as to where we would go for new versions,” Brian said. “It also helped that the original layout was easily adapted with our up-to-date information.”

“Le Mark has always been an excellent company to work with. We get exactly what we’ve asked for, responses are always prompt and friendly, and orders are delivered on time. Your reliability means we can continue to be efficient for our customers too.”

Le Mark PAL road case labels have been the world’s number one for 30 years. A Le Mark case label can not only aid logistics and equipment management but can also help the world to see that it’s your business and your equipment they’ve trusted.
