What are PAL™ Road & Flight Case Labels?

Developed by Le Mark Group in 1986, the PAL™ Label was created to give the touring and entertainment industry a more professional, durable alternative to identifying equipment with gaffer tape.

PAL™ Road & Flight Case Labels are durable, reusable identification labels designed specifically for flight cases, road cases and touring equipment. They provide a professional way to display equipment information, ownership details and branding, whilst withstanding the demands of transportation, storage and live event environments.

Unlike standard stickers, PAL™ labels feature a tough protective surface with under-surface printing and high-performance adhesive technology, helping them remain securely attached and looking professional even after years of use.

PAL™ labels can also be written on directly, with markings easily removed using a cleaning spray. This makes them ideal for equipment that moves between different projects, tours or clients, allowing information to be updated and reused without replacing the label.

2. Provide your artwork

Send us your logo or artwork. Our team can advise on the best format and help with any artwork requirements.

Don’t have print-ready artwork? That’s fine. Our team can help prepare your design.

3. Approve your design

We’ll check your artwork and make sure it’s suitable for your case labels and the printing process. We’ll then send you an artwork approval to sign off.

4. We manufacture your labels

Your custom flight case labels are produced in the UK to the agreed specification.

5. Receive your brand new Flight Case Labels

Typical delivery for UK customers is 7–10 days after order confirmation, although lead times can vary depending on the product and production requirements. Please add an extra 3-4 days for worldwide delivery.

Ordering

Flight case labels can cost as little as £1.41 per label, depending on the size, design and quantity ordered. Generally, the more labels you purchase, the lower the cost per label.

Single-colour designs are the most cost-effective option, while additional print colours will increase the price. Similarly, smaller labels have a lower cost per item than larger labels.

The minimum order quantity for PAL™ Flight Case Labels is 50.

Unfortunately, due to the setup and clean down times of all our print machinery, we’re unable to mix different designs within the same MOQ or order run.

You can expect delivery of your labels within 7-10 days of order confirmation. Please check with us first as lead times may vary, especially during busier times.

Design

Yes. PAL™ labels can be fully customised with your company logo, branding, colours, contact details and equipment information. Labels are also available in a wide range of sizes, shapes and layouts.

Yes. Our team can help create a professional label design that incorporates your branding, technical information and operational requirements, ensuring you get the most from your labels.

You can include company branding, QR codes, equipment descriptions, contact details, handling instructions and any other information relevant to your operation.

We’ll work with you any way we can, but preferably, and for the best quality, we ask that artwork is supplied in a Vector Graphic AI/EPS file or a high resolution PDF (1MB or above).

We find that printing to Pantones gives us the best final finish. We’re happy to work with you and convert the CMYK, HEX or RAL to the closest Pantone.

Application and usage

PAL™ Labels are designed as a long-term identification solution and are manufactured using durable materials and adhesives to withstand the demands of touring, production, rental, and industrial environments. When applied correctly to a clean, dry surface, they can remain in place for many years.

For best results, PAL™ Labels should be applied to a clean, dry surface that is free from grease, dirt, and other contaminants. Once applied, press firmly over the entire label to help the adhesive achieve a secure bond.

Absolutely. The unique write-on, wipe-off surface allows users to add temporary information and remove it with a special cleaner when no longer needed. This makes the labels ideal for changing inventories, tours and equipment allocations.

PAL™ Labels are intended to be long-term, permanent labels and are not designed for easy removal. However, if a label needs to be replaced or updated, it can be removed with care. A suitable adhesive residue remover can be used, if required, to remove any remaining adhesive and leave the surface clean.

PAL™ Road Case Labels are designed for demanding touring, production and rental environments. They feature protected under-surface printing and high-performance adhesive technology to help ensure long-lasting durability on flight and road cases.

PAL™ Labels are suitable for application onto most smooth and textured-surface flight cases, including traditional laminated plywood and aluminium as well as moulded plastic cases such as Peli™ cases. If you’re applying your labels onto textured surfaces, we recommend opting for our Multi-Surface High-Tak Foam adhesive.
